Term 3

Welcome back to Term 3.  We are looking forward to lots of activities this term and especially our trip in September to the Hamilton Zoo and Hobbiton.  

Our focus for the first part of the term is our novel “The Hobbit” with students choosing an area of the tale to explore and inquire into.  This will include writing and art also.  We have made a good start already with this.

We are exploring using Kiwikids News for our current events which gives lots of opportunities for choosing articles of interest and also different activities to do.

We also have Cool Bananas each Thursday this term.

Tuesday August 11:              Salt Marsh clean up (notice to come)

Wednesday August 12:        Year 6 Information evening at Otumoetai Intermediate

Tuesday August 18:              Sevens tournament

Wednesday September 9:    Bellevue 500

Wednesday September 16:  Hamilton Zoo and Hobbiton trip

Friday September 18:           Year 6 - Otumoetai Intermediate enrolment forms in to Bellevue  

                                             School office.

Term 2 Happenings

What a great effort from everyone in the cross country today.  Well done to you all.  Thank you to those parents who helped us out this morning and also to those who came and supported us.

We have had a busy start to Term 2, with a lot of learning about Anzac Day for the first two weeks. Come in and check out our art work and letters we wrote from a soldier's perspective, or from those left behind at home during the war.

For the last few weeks we have been rehearsing both the choir songs and our class item for Robin in da Hood - it's looking amazing today!  We  hope to see you at one of the performances next week - please check with your child for updated notices.
